Global Cooperation Agreement [return]

Essential Viewing Systems has strengthened its relationship with Lockheed Martin Corporation by signing an agreement for further cooperation in product development and marketing.

The two organisations signed a Strategic Framework Agreement in November 2007 and the recent execution of a global Co-operation Agreement further strengthens the existing relationship. Lockheed Martin will be able to utilise the Essential Viewing technology in systems integration projects within defence markets globally, with support provided by Essential Viewing personnel.
At a time where the use of video in both commercial and defence environments continues to increase against a backdrop of limited bandwidth capacity, the Essential Viewing product line is ideally positioned to provide customers with the best-quality video available over limited bandwidths compared to standard MPEG-based products.
The relationship will allow Essential Viewing, a spinout from the University of Strathclyde, to accelerate product development and strengthen its internal capabilities. The Company expects to deliver new products by October 2008 as the first fruits of this relationship.
“Having a partner of the stature of Lockheed Martin is of tremendous benefit to Essential Viewing”, said Les Gaw, Chief Executive. “Not only will this allow the Company to accelerate product development but it will provide a partnership through which our product can be marketed globally, a difficult challenge for smaller companies operating independently. Having previously worked with Lockheed Martin in the UK, we will now be working with them in the US and elsewhere to include our technology in customer projects.”
