Archiving Solutions

Whichever TVI encoder model you use, there is an archiving solution available.

Archiving via TVI C300 / C200 and Timespace DVR

Essential Viewing has integrated our video encoder system with the Timespace DVR unit to provide a solution for storage of high quality video footage and metadata. This integrated solution provides the facility to remotely access the video either as a live video feed or to access the archived footage recorded on the DVR. This integration has been developed with the four input version of the TimeSpace product (X200-04), and is currently being extended to the 16 input version (X200-16).

The systems are connected using the RS-232 serial ports on the encoder and the Timespace DVR. Commands are then sent via the TVI viewing software to the encoder and then onward to the Timespace unit, thus controlling the DVR. These commands can include instructions to switch which input is routed through the output port or to access the archived footage on the DVR.

Timespace is currently the only commercially available DVR that has been fully integrated with our C300 and C200 products and software. It is used extensively in transportation, local authorities and law enforcement deployments in the UK.

Archiving is also fully supported on the TVI M2 encoder        

The Essential Viewing Archive Disk has a 200Gb capacity and measures just 13.6cm x 8.4cm x 1.4cm. And with an Essential Viewing USB hard drive powered via the encoder, you can archive video and audio from a selected camera input at full PAL/NTSC dimensions up to a maximum of 5fps. The archived video is available to view remotely via TVI Control Center software, or locally by plugging the drive directly into your PC.
